The LADWP rebate amount depends on the equipment installed. Heat pump HVAC systems qualify for up to $2,500 per ton, heat pump water heaters receive $2,500 per unit, and high-efficiency central AC systems receive $120 per ton. A 3-ton heat pump system qualifies for $7,500 in LADWP rebates alone.
Any LADWP residential electric customer who owns their home and is replacing an existing HVAC system qualifies. There is no income requirement. New construction and ADUs are not eligible — this LADWP rebate applies to replacement systems only.
